Lovely contemporary ceramics celebrating Cornwall by Janice Ashworth
My work is inspired by the ever-changing beauty of the Cornish landscape that I am fortunate to call home. From rugged coastlines and quiet fishing villages to wide open moors scattered with tin mines and weathered stone stacks, Cornwall’s history and natural character are at the heart of everything I create.
Working in stoneware clay, I handcraft and handpaint each piece, often depicting seaside and moorland cottages that sit nestled within this distinctive landscape.
Alongside functional pottery, I also create sculptural pieces.
Every piece is handmade with care, patience, and a deep love for the land that inspires it.
